What is the Partnership?
The Wandsworth Town Property Partnership is a new initiative to unlock our high street buildings for brilliant local ideas, and for community use or ownership.
Our goal is to bring people together (the community, local businesses, asset owners, council and funders) to:
Map underused buildings;
Develop a vision for how we might use them for local benefit;
Start turning that vision into reality, one building at a time.
Get involved
So far, the Partnership is made up of community organisers, council officers and asset owners from Wandsworth Town, as well as a Platform Places mentor.
Whether you’re a member of the community, a local business, asset owner, council or funder, you’re invited to get involved and help shape the work of the Partnership!

Who owns Wandsworth Town?
In this stage, we’ve been working to map out ownership of our buildings and spaces. -
What do we want from our town centre buildings?
Next, we gathered key stakeholders around a dinner table (the community, local businesses, asset owners, council and funders) to understand the challenges they face, gather ideas for local spaces, and develop a shared vision for our town centre buildings (scroll down to see photos from this event). -
We’ll gather our learnings from the pilot project and agree on next steps for the Partnership to continue collaboratively transforming our town centre buildings.

Transforming building no.1 and beyond
Together we will identify multiple buildings that can be brought into community use or ownership, and raise funds to activate them with amazing local ideas and businesses – for the benefit of local people.
